Cost estimates for simulations of full QCD with n f = 2 Wilson fermions by hybrid Monte Carlo are presented. The extrapolations are based on the average number of iterations, Nit, of the iterative solver within the fermionic part of the HMC molecular dynamics, which is closely related to the minimal eigenvalue of M † M. The cost formula is determined as a product of the scaling functions of iterative solver and integrated autocorrelation time of 1/Nit as function of the inverse lattice pseudoscalar mass. Timings by SESAM/TχL allow to fix the pre-factor. It is demonstrated that a 2-flavor dynamical determination of light hadron masses with a statistical precision comparable to the corresponding quenched results from CP-PACS is the appropriate task for a 100 Tflops system.

Using lattice QCD with dynamical Wilson fermions, we study I = 0 and J P = 0 + channel which is constructed by 1 √ 2 (¯ uu + ¯ dd)|0, in order to search for the σ meson. Our preliminary result shows that the connected and disconnected diagrams contribute to the σ meson propagator in the same order.

We report on our study of two-flavor full QCD on anisotropic lattices using O(a)-improved Wilson quarks coupled with an RG-improved glue. The bare gauge and quark anisotropies corresponding to the renormalized anisotropy ξ = as/at = 2 are determined as functions of β and κ, using the Wilson loop and the meson dispersion relation at several lattice cutoffs and quark masses.

We report on the first large-scale study of two flavor QCD with domain wall fermions (DWF). Simulation has been carried out at three dynamical quark mass values about 1/2, 3/4, and 1 mstrange on 16 3 × 32 volume with Ls = 12 and a −1 ≈ 1.7 GeV. After discussing the details of the simulation, we report on the light hadron spectrum and decay constants.
